The City of Hudson is located between Cleveland and Akron in Northeast Ohio. Originally part of the Connecticut Western Reserve, Hudson celebrated its bicentennial in 1999. Covering 25.6 square miles, Hudson has a population of over 23,000 residents.
Hudson is known for its excellent school system and well-educated residents who are engaged in their schools and their community. Hudson High School is ranked number 10 in the state, and more than 96 percent of high school students graduate. Plus, more than 71 percent of our residents hold a bachelor's degree or higher level of education.
The City provides water and electric utilities to its businesses and residents and participates in the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. The City employs 155 full-time employees and 50 part-time employees in addition to seasonal and volunteer employees. The City has a 2022 General Fund disbursements budget of $27,000,000, with a total budget of $89,000,000.
